When the wise person says the eyes are the windows to the soul, he has not just pointed out the importance of sight, but also of the strategic position of a window as the entrance to discovery. Literally, of course, windows seem to be the secondary doors in entering houses, in cases like lost keys, or burglary. If it’s just a lost key, there seems to be no problem at all. But if it’s burglary, well, that’s another story. For the sake of security, yes, people put up fences and grilles around every manner of entrance in their establishments. But now that security is the utmost consideration, these buildings’ owners should have to look for ways that these grilles are really there to protect, and not to shoo away visitors. This could make some burglars think that the place is unprotected when after all, all the grilles are set in places.
