Choosing the right kind of basin
When it comes to getting a good basin for your bathroom at home, or office, you have a lot of options. You can use a lot of imagination and creativity to give your basin or sink a makeover. Try recessed bathroom basins which are those that are fitted under the counter. This is the most basic and popular type. Match the décor and colour with your vanity. Go for marble, ceramic bowls or granite basins as they look really classy. Shapes can be square, oval or round.
When it comes to cloakroom basins, make sure the sanitary ware sets are small and compact. The basin can be placed at the corner. This will give the floor a lot of visual space also. Try the free standing basins which are either on granite stands or on the outcrop. Also semi-dug in basins is a good choice. Not only does it save space but also it doesn’t look clumsy or out of place.
The corner wash basins most vitally save space. For a fashionable look, try installing wall hung basins. Lever operated or mounted taps and an angular sleek looking wall hung basins are perfect for cloakrooms. Look up the internet to find some abstract shapes too. They are in vogue these days.
